Custom Tattoos by Ben Merrell

Bio

In the fall of 2003, I began my tattoo apprenticeship while finishing my final year in forestry fire science at Colorado State University. Two decades later, my love for tattooing continues to grow, with each day offering new opportunities to learn and evolve. Over the years, I've explored many tattoo styles, some of my favorites are japanese and art nouveau, and illustrative versions of animals and botanical themes.

In January 2024, I decided to take a bold step in my career and open Wildland Tattoo, a private studio space designed to offer a more serene and personalized tattooing experience. This new direction allows me to work with my amazing clients in a calm and focused environment, tailoring each tattoo session to their unique needs and preferences.

My family has always been my greatest source of support and inspiration; my wife and I are incredibly fortunate to have two awesome children and two dogs. We love our time together in the great outdoors.

Beyond tattooing, I love creating art and immersing myself in activities like camping, hunting, fishing, and hiking.
